As the nation’s live entertainment association, NIVA’s mission is to preserve and nurture the ecosystem of independent performance venues, promoters, and festivals throughout the United States. Founded in March 2020, NIVA secured the passage of the Save Our Stages Act, resulting in $16.25 billion of relief for the independent live entertainment sector—the largest arts investment in U.S. history. NIVA has expanded its focus to cultivate and elevate the sector through increased national advocacy, marketing initiatives to boost independent stages, group discounts for members, and collective action on behalf of its members nationwide.
