Based in Boston, Run for Cover Records (RFC) began its journey in 2004 with a grassroots approach and emerged as a key player in the rapidly growing DIY indie punk scenes along the East Coast. Known for its genre focus—ranging from indie rock and alternative to emo, hardcore punk, and shoegaze, RFC has helped launch the careers of bands such as Modern Baseball, Citizen, and Turnover, while also collaborating with established acts like Rival Schools, Alex G, and mewithoutYou. Now in its 20th year, the label continues to leave its mark by discovering new talent, reissuing past classics, and showcasing diverse events around the world.
