Ramova is a community and artist owned multi use space within a restored historic movie theater encompassing an 1,500+ capacity live performance venue, an independent brewery, a 200+ capacity live performance and event space, beer garden, grill, and taproom.

Summary:

The Financial Controller role is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the company’s reports and statements. The Financial Controller will oversee accounts payable and sales auditing for all components of Ramova Theatre while working with our outsourced finance support at Baker Tilly. This position will also work with our Sage Financials solution. The ideal candidate will be ready to jump in to support finance and accounting operations for the business, and be prepared for future opportunities as the business grows and we evaluate opportunities for expansion.

Essential Functions:

• Strong background in Accounts Payable for multiple venues within one operating space.
• Experience in receiving, processing, verifying all invoices within financial solutions for multiple venues.
• Communicate with all aspects of the operations to ensure all invoices are received weekly.
• Upload scanned invoices from each unit to company dashboards.
• Manage payments to vendors, cutting weekly checks and mail.
• Communicate regularly with Vendors.
• Set-up new vendor accounts, request W9 forms.
• Maintain accounting records by verifying & posting account transactions.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements.
• Maintain a filing system by filing printed invoices.
• Conduct sales audits by reviewing and confirming Daily Sales Report (DSR) data from each venue.
• Review, investigate and correct any exceptions or errors.
• Ensure all Daily Sales Reports balance.
• Post each Daily and Events Sales Reports sales journal entry on a timely basis.
• Review P&L line-item expenses for completeness every month-end.
• Accrue for any missing expenses Identified every month-end.
• Work closely with the financial team and outsourced financial support to complete the month end close.
• Cross train within other areas of accounting function.
• Support operational leads in bi-annual forecasting and reviews, aggregating information into a single document

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Must have general accounting knowledge and a CPA a plus..
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Accounting Software
• Experience with Compeat preferred.
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Should be a team player who is reliable and displays integrity.
• Can take initiative and be adaptable to a sometimes-demanding environment.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
